Pietro Bartolo

Pietro Bartolo, OMRI, (born 10 February 1956) is an Italian doctor and politician who was elected as a member of the European Parliament in 2019 for the Democratic Party.

From 1992 to 2019, he is known to have been the responsible medician for first visits to migrants who land in Lampedusa; in 25 years, he examined and cared for about 250,000 refugees on the island. Provided by Wikipedia
