Author Notes: Ewdard R. Ricciuti graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor's degree in communication arts and went on for his master's degree at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He was appointed a Sloan-Rockefeller Advanced Science Writing Fellow at Columbia. Ricciuti is also a former U.S. Marine reservist. His writing has included various topics related to his many interests. A few examples: The Natural History of North America, Rocks and Minerals, The Yakama, How to Box, The War in Yugoslavia, The Snake Almanac, Amphibians, Killer Animals, Killers of the Seas, and Science 101: Forensics.
