Her first novel, Postcards from the Edge, was awarded the Los Angeles Pen Award for Best First Novel. Her other books include Surrender the Pink, Delusions of Grandma, Shockaholic, Wishful Drinking, and The Princess Diarist. She wrote the screenplay for the movie Postcards from the Edge.
