Author Notes: Lady Borton lives on a farm in Millfield, Ohio, in the heart of Appalachia. Her daily experiences there provide constant inspiration for her writing. Junk Pile!, in fact, is based loosely on her neighbor's family and Lady's own flighty dog, Wing.
Lady grew up in Alexandria, Virginia, and attended Mount Holyoke College, where she received a degree in mathematics.
