Author Notes: Sheila Moore, of Charlotttesville, Virginia, has taught in both Montessori and public school kindergarten classrooms. Her first children's book received a starred review in BOOKLIST. She co-authored THE LITTLE BOY BOOK, now a Ballantine paperback. She writes on education and child development issues, and her poetry and fiction appear in a number of literary magazines. An advocate of sound and effective reading programs, she has worked with disadvantaged children and struggling readers for many years. In May 2007 she became an honored recipient of a 2007 iParenting Media Award for ABADABA ALPHABET.
