Author Notes: Ami McKay was born in Indiana in 1968. She is a playwright, novelist and journalist. She started her writing career as a freelancer for CBC Radio. Her work has aired on 'This Morning' and 'The Sunday Edition'. Her documentary, Daughter of Family G won an Excellence in Journalism Medallion at the 2003 Atlantic Journalism Awards.Her first title, The Birth House, made the Number One Spot on Canadian best sellers list. In 2012 she won the Atlantic Independent Booksellers' Association "Bookseller's Choice of the Year" award for her title, The Virgin Cure.
