Author Notes: Rachel Kranz received a B.A. in history from Carleton College and an M.A. in literature from Columbia University. She was a prolific ghostwriter and co-author. Her novel, Leaps of Faith, was published in 2000. She was a playwright, who founded her own theater company Theater of Necessity. She was also a journalist and tournament poker player. She wrote a blog entitled Adventures in Poker and wrote articles for Poker Pro Magazine. She died from cancer on August 28, 2017 at the age of 62.
