Leslie McGuirk has written and illustrated nine picture books, including SNAIL BOY, the Pip the Penguin books (HOW MANY? TOO MANY!; HERE IT IS!; IT'S ONLY ME!; and SAY CHEESE, PLEASE!), as well as three previous Tucker books. She is well known in Japan, where her artwork can be found on everything from T-shirts to teapots to toilet-seat covers. When she's not dodging hurricanes or teaching seminars on creativity, Leslie McGuirk can be found at home in Vero Beach, Florida. The Tucker books are based on the author's own West Highland terrier.
