Author Notes: Téa Obreht was born in Belgrade in the former Yugoslavia in 1985. She immigrated with her family to the United States in 1997. Her writing has been published in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, Harper's, The New York Times, and The Guardian as well as being anthologized in The Best American Short Stories and The Best American Non-Required Reading. Her first novel, The Tiger's Wife, was published in 2011 and won the 2011 Orange Prize for Fiction.
