Author Notes:John Wallace wrote his first children's story after the birth of his first son. A self-taught artist, he started out working as a cartoonist in Kingston, Jamaica. Mr. Wallace has since illustrated and written several books for children. Many of his books have been widely translated and some titles have been developed into animated series. He lives in England with his wife, Sarah, and their three sons, William, Sam, and Isaac
