Author Notes: Anne Bowen is the author of eight books for children, including a Bank Street Best Book of the Year and a Society of School Librarians International Honor Book. Formerly a teacher, she received the 1996-97 Utah English/Language Arts Teacher of the Year Award. She lives in Utah with her husband and two golden retrievers.
