From The Clone Codes: The Visitors I try to stay calm, but I'm gagging. How long have I been here? I'm so tired. Did I fall asleep again? My eyes hurt. The bright lights stab at me. It's worse than someone poking my eyes with a stick. I can't move my arms and legs in all this thickness. I can't move my hands either. They've been tied with ropes. I'm stuck in some kind of glass jar, with wires connected to my body. I start to cry, and soon sleep takes over. When I wake, I'm choking, gagging even harder. A tube pushes icy liquid into my throat. My body knows to swallow. My stomach fills quickly. There are no more wires, just the tubes in my mouth and nose. When I glance at my hands, I see they are bright orange. My whole body is orange. There are voices in my head now, talking loudly. This clone is number 9767. This clone wants to work. This clone is happy. This clone is number 9767. This clone wants to work. This clone is happy. This clone is number 9767. This clone wants to work. This clone is happy. "Stop!" I scream.
