Author Notes: Emily Giffin was born March 20, 1972 in Baltimore, Maryland. She received an undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1997. She moved to Manhattan and worked in the litigation department of Winston and Strawn. Her first book, Something Borrowed, was published in 2004. She is currently a full-time author.
