Author Michael Bourgo brings a unique command of language to a variety of subjects and themes centered around his own personal experiences and feelings. Intelligent and down-to-earth, yet piercingly aware, these pieces find their inspiration in those small everyday miracles when we learn something significant, catch a glimpse of unexpected beauty, or come to some new understanding of what really matters. This unique collection is organized around three different sections of autobiographical pieces addressing major milestones in Bourgo's life. Surrounding these "anchors" are four collections of verse centering on nature, observations from daily life, and questions of belief. Four eclectic and reflective pieces then close out the volume. Using compelling imagery and poignant metaphor, the language in each of these pieces is carefully chosen with the belief that a thoughtful exploration of any moment can yield a rewarding, immersive experience. Whether you're an avid reader of poetry or new to the medium, this collection will remind you that wonder is everywhere-if you're willing to look."--From Amazon.com | |
