His first book, 20th Century Ghost, received the the Bram Stoker award for Best Fiction Collection, and his Best New Horror book won him a second Bram Stoker award, this time for Best Short Story. He is also a past recipient of the Ray Bradbury Fellowship.

Joe Hill's other books include Heart-Shaped Box, Road Rage (collaboration), Thumbprint, Throttle (collaboration), Horns, and NOS4A2.
