Painters must plan their workday carefully, get up early, buy and mix paints, increase their income through meeting orders in their own studios, and be careful not to put their apprentices in a bad mood. Each round consists of 2 phases: choosing a get up time and adjusting mood and planning and performing actions. Each player secretly plans actions that can be performed at 5 different locations (market, cathedral, studio, workshop, and theater), and then reveals to the other players which actions will be taken. Actions at the locations include buying paints or closing down a market booth (market), restoring the fresco or altar (cathedral), painting portraits (studio), blending paints (workshop), and improving one's mood (theater). The winner is the player who earns the most victory points at the end of the game. The three expansion modules can be combined with the basic game in any way players like to gradually increase the challenge. Age: 10+. Players: 2-4. Estimated play time: 60 minutes.
