| Summary: | In early spring 1944, Charles Ryder, a disillusioned Army captain, is preparing to transport his company to Brigade Headquarters at a secret location. Upon their arrival, Charles discovers that his destination is Brideshead Castle, the scene of some of the happiest--and most anguished--times of his earlier life.
