Author Notes: Tereasa Surratt and Donna Lukas have been co-creators and friends for many years, first working together as part of a creative team at Ogilvy & Mather advertising firm. The Forever Tree is their first picture book and is inspired by a very special tree on the Camp Wandawega property. The summer camp has been featured on CBS Sunday Morning, Today, NPR, and HGTV, as well as in the Wall Street Journal and Martha Stewart Living, among others. When not lounging in the tree house, Donna and Tereasa can be found spending time with their families in Chicago. You can find Donna Lukas on Twitter at @donnacp1 and on Facebook. Visit Tereasa Surratt on her website at Tereasa.info and on Instagram at @campwandawega. And discover more about Camp Wandawega at wandawega.com.

Nicola Slater is a professional illustrator and a semi-professional coffee-drinker. After studying illustration at Buckinghamshire Chilterns University, she now lives and works in Manchester, England, with her family. While her yard doesn't feature a tree house yet, she is open to any chipmunk contractors looking for work.
