Carys Davies is an Australian author who won the Frank O'Connor International Short Story Award-the world's richest prize for a short-story collection. Davies won the ¿25,000 (A$37,312) prize for her second collection The Redemption of Galen Pike (Salt Publishing). The prize will be presented to Davies at the closing of the Cork International Short Story Festival in September 2015.
