This CD-ROM contains various maps and an index that show information on early land surveys and acquisitions in Centre County. There is a Warrant Register index for Centre County that has pages for each letter of the alphabet that correspond to the last name of the person interested in buying land. Each letter's register shows the warrants (requests to have land surveyed as a first step to obtain it) in numerical order by warrant number along with the warrantee (the name of the one who wants the land surveyed), description of warrant, quantity (acres), location (township), date of warrant, date of return, acres returned, name of patentee (the person who ended up buying the land), where it was recorded, and where the survey is copied. There is also a series of maps outlining changes in township boundaries in Centre County every ten years from 1800 to 1870 made by Charles Fisher Snyder. Finally, there are 3 maps (each map has a PDF and TIF version) displaying warrant maps in in Centre County.
