She grew up in Hewlett, New York and earned her BA degree in English Literature from Columbia University and an MFA in Writing for Children from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. She is the Editorial Director of Philomel Books where she edits several best-sellers including Get Informed, Get Inspired and Get Going by Chelsea Clinton and A Tangle of Knots by Lisa Graff.
