Despite what happened to her, Sadie is bound and determined to escape a past that nearly destroyed her. She sets her sights on new beginnings and seeks a small town where she can reinvent herself into the person she wants to be. The most important part of that a space for her to blend into the local community. Sadie finds what she's looking for in Colchester, Vermont. With her young daughter Avery and their pup Maddie, the three relocate to the shores of Malletts Bay, a part of Lake Champlain and just north of Burlington. Unfortunately, even her best efforts to forget what happened begin to fail in their new life, and Sadie must come to accept that the choices she has made in her past are just like the they have unpredictable outcomes. And, those unpredictable outcomes will impact who she is at her core and everyone she is closest to.
