Description
Summary:A globetrotting mom of five chronicles her family's life-changing trip to over 20 countries in a year and shares transforming takeaways to inspire readers' own adventures.
“In June 2022, my family and I embarked on a yearlong trip with a tight budget and curiosity as our only guides. What we experienced was a world overflowing with goodness in endless forms. This book is about hos bougainvillea sways in the wind from Morocco to Vietnam, how Albanian bus drivers look out for everyone, and how basketball is like a religion in the Philippines. It's about how people see the beauty in others, share meals with strangers, and aren't scared to open their homes and hearts -- a celebration of cultures, communities, and curiosity. And, ultimately, it is about how my family was changed by those we encountered. Let me show you how accessible and welcoming the world can be and open your family's eyes to the loveliness and wonder you can find across the globe, including in your community”--Ashley Campbell.
