Author Notes:

Haven Iverson holds an MFA from the University of Texas, Austin where she was a James A Micherner fellow in writing. She lives and writes in Boulder, Colorado but spends a few weeks a year living in her tent in the wilderness areas and National Forest near her home. Haven is also the author of Slow Down, Tumbleweed, about a wild child weed who rambles through the desert Southwest. When not writing for children, Haven is an editor and ghostwriter of adult nonfiction.

August Zhang is a first generation Chinese-Canadian illustrator based in Calgary, Alberta. Growing up, they discovered art as a reliable emotional outlet and continue to leverage that to this day. Now, in the trenches of the adult world, August finds that the most important thing is to stay playful. August also boasts an impressive collection of low-res hare pictures on their phone. A hare spotted is a day unruined.
