Description
Summary:"A humorous and heartfelt story about the power of changing your perspective--which is easier with a little help from your friends. Bear lives in a forest under the shadow of a mountain, and dreams of seeing a sunset and feeling the warm sun on her fur. One day, fed up with the gloomy shadow, she decides there's only one thing to do: move the mountain! She enlists the help of her forest friends, who eventually agree to take on this seemingly impossible task. But when pushing it from the left, from the right, and stacked up, one on top of another all fail, her exhausted friends topple over into the grass and decide that they might not mind the shadow so much, after all. But Bear can't let it go. She keeps complaining, and obsessing, and scheming up new ways to make the mountain move!--much to the worry of her friends. When Bear finally collapses at the foot of the mountain in frustration, her friends gently lift her and begin to carry her up, up, up to the very top of the mountain. On top, she finally feels the sun on her fur and a view she's never seen before: "So this is a sunset," said Bear. Bear realizes that, without the mountain, this beautiful view wouldn't be possible, and she is finally able to let go of the shadow--and of her anger. This is a story about what happens when we get lost in a negative perspective, and the freedom that comes looking at something from a new point of view."--
