| Summary: | "While Lucy McNeil is enjoying motherhood, new librarian Nichelle Gilchrest has just arrived at the Bodie Island Lighthouse Library, reporting for duty. Life throws a monkey wrench in her plans at a smooth first day when she finds a body on the steps--a body that resembles Nichelle's missing father, who disappeared on a fishing trip 38 years ago. Fingerprints confirm the missing man to be her father, living in the Outer Banks under an assumed name and swindling older women out of money. Was he working alone? When a detective learns that Nichelle's brother, Brad, had been in Nags Head just days before the murder, the net of suspicion spreads. Will Nichelle finally learn the truth about her father and clear her brother's name while running the library?"-- |
