Item Description:Includes index.
"Humans--who are we? Physically, we're unremarkable animals, but somehow, in combination, our body parts make us extraordinary. This though-provoking book uses the lens of the human body to look at hot new developments in the science of human evolution. It challenges old myths and baked-in misconceptions, and it tells the story of our species, with beautiful illustrations of our seemingly ordinary anatomy and mind-expanding diagrams of what we have achieved with it."--P. [4] of cover.
