| Summary: | "Featuring a variety of creatures that roamed Earth in prehistoric times, from giant woolly mammoths to hunting dinosaurs to fearsome Megalodons, this book is full of fascinating facts about what these animals looked like, where they lived and how they survived (or didn't) in the most extreme of conditions. Split into three chapters - the Paleozoic Era, the Mesozoic Era and the Cenozoic period - the book covers animals and habitats from all over the world, with each creature telling its own life story. Also featured are 'Wild Style' pages, which shows how creatures have adapted to their environments, and 'Living Legends' pages, where modern animals, such as jellyfish, look back to their earliest ancestors"--Amazon.com. |
