| Author Notes: | Cathy G. Johnson is an award-winning cartoonist and educator living on occupied Wampanoag and Narragansett land in Providence, Rhode Island. They are the author of the middle-grade graphic novel The Breakaways . With their teaching project Comic Art Ed! , they lead comics classes for all ages at libraries, schools, and universities across New England. They are also a Thesis Professor in the MFA Visual Narrative department at Boston University College of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts. When they aren't drawing or teaching comics, Johnson makes band posters, watches scary movies, and hangs out with their pet box turtle that they've had since they were seven years old. |
