Bringing only one suitcase and a bag of amphetamines, he makes his stimulated progress across the country, pining for the life he's lost and wondering about an uncertain future. Along the way he says goodbye to his father, mother, brother, and sister--a complex quartet, each a puzzle for Lee to solve.
