| Summary: | "On a chilly winter morning, a child feels reluctant to leave the cozy warmth of home. But when she looks out the window and sees the fresh snowfall, she decides to join her parents and sister for a walk through their city neighborhood. It becomes a special time as they play and marvel at the magic of the snowy world. Together, they share their gratitude for nature -- the sparkling snowflakes, the bright sky, the scent of evergreen trees, and even their breath forming clouds in the crisp air. Thank You, Snow shows how to overcome hesitation, appreciate the world around us, and connect with our own sense of quiet gratitude."--Book jacket flap. |

| Author Notes: | Dan McCauley is a writer and educator who grew up in New York City. Raised by Little League coaches, a caring community, and his family's love, Dan pursued his passion for teaching and storytelling at New York University. After working as a teacher in the Bronx, he moved to Los Angeles, where he works with middle and high school students as a learning specialist. Dan is the author of the Thank You, World series. He writes and teaches with the same sense of awe, wonder, and gratitude he feels toward the world. Jo Loring-Fisher is an artist, author, illustrator, and a graduate of Cambridge School of Art's master's program in children's book illustration. She loves both the city and the countryside, and enjoys creating images using a range of materials including collage, ink, paint, and printmaking. Much of her inspiration comes from observing the natural world and everyday life. Jo lives in the East of England with her husband, family, and two whippet dogs. |
