Marcia Bonta received her BA in history and English from Bucknell University. In addition to her weekly nature column for the Altoona Mirror and a series on Pennsylvania natural places for Pennsylvania Wildlife and Outdoor Digest, her work has appeared in American Horticulturist, Americas, Bird Watchers Digest, The Conservationist , Pennsylvania Game News , and Pennsylvania Heritage .
