Author Notes: Dr. Ross W. Greene is the originator of the Collaborative Proactive Solutions model and founding director of the nonprofit Lives in the Balance (www.livesinthebalance.org). Having served on the faculty at Harvard Medical School from 1993 to 2014, he is now on the faculty in the Department of Psychology at Virginia Tech. Dr. Greene lectures widely throughout the world and consults extensively to families, schools, inpatient psychiatry units, and residential and juvenile detention facilities. His research has been funded by the U.S. Department of Education, the National Institute on Drug Abuse, and the Stanley Medical Research Institute.
