This CD-ROM contains documents and information on delayed birth records -- birth records for people whose births were never recorded, were incomplete, or were incorrect -- in Centre County, Pennsylvania. The vast majority of the certificates are for births that occurred between 1893-1906, though some certificates are for even earlier births. The certificates folder contains over 3,000 delayed birth certificates as PDF files, grouped into subfolders of 100 each. In order to find what number is associated with a name, there is an alphabetical name index listing each applicant's name as well as their parents' names that also includes instructions on how best to use the index. Finally, the original instructions and documents used in applying for a delayed birth certificate are included as a PDF file as well. |
